Newark Campus Child Development Center is located on the
campus of OSUN and COTC in Newark, Ohio. We provide service to students,
faculty, staff, and the community. We are open year round from 6:30a.m. – 6:00p.m. To

The Newark Campus Child
Development Center is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job & Family
Services and follows the guidelines set forth by this department. A license
is posted and annual inspections are conducted by a licensing specialist.
The center is also
accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
NAEYC is the nation's largest and most influential organization of early
childhood educators and others dedicated to improving the quality of

The
Newark Campus Child Development Center has a high quality child-centered program that promotes
the development of social competency, communication abilities, thinking
processes, feelings of self worth, and physical abilities. The curriculum
and methods are a play-based, hands-on approach to learning through
negotiated projects and problem solving. The Center provides students
majoring in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Development
opportunities for observing the development of preschool children, studying
current and effective techniques for guiding young children, and
participating in a team centered approach to classroom management.
